In the 1980s, Berentzen followed up positive responses to market research for a new kind of Schnapps with the release of their popular ApfelKorn. Its light fruit flavour combined with light grain spirit proved a huge success with sales now exceeding 300,000 cases in exports per year, and three quarters of their domestic market share. Not surprisingly then, since its foundation in 1758, Berentzen is now one of Germanys top Liqueur companies.
