Chteau de Ferrand 2015 is a distinguished red wine from the Saint-milion Grand Cru Class appellation in Bordeaux, France. This vintage reflects the estate’s commitment to traditional winemaking and its exceptional terroir.
The 2015 vintage is a blend of 79% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were hand-harvested and underwent meticulous vinification, including fermentation in cement vats and aging in French oak barrels, 30% of which were new, for 12 months.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Deep ruby hue.
Nose: Aromatic bouquet of blackberry jam, plum, black cherry, clove, cinnamon, cedar, sweet tobacco, and a hint of leather.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, fine tannins, and vibrant acidity. Flavors of dark chocolate, espresso, dried herbs, and a mineral undercurrent lead to a persistent and elegant finish.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs beautifully with roasted or grilled meats (beef, lamb, duck), hearty stews, and mature cheeses.
