Marking a milestone for Kilchoman, the 2025 release is their first-ever 10Year Old Loch Gorm, matured entirely in Oloroso sherry butts and selected from 23 casks (20 first-fill, 3 refill). True to Islay style, it’s nonchill filtered with no added colorshowing off rich copper tones and a deep sherry profile balanced by signature peat smoke.
Nose: Notes of caramelised custard tart, freshly roasted coffee, and candied ginger, finely intertwined with Islays coastal peat smoke and light citrus zest.
Palate: A luxurious, sherry-infused wave of honey-roasted figs, cloves, sticky toffee pudding, and subtle smoky banana, accompanied by dark fruit and soft spice.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering savory peat embers, fruitcake, spiced oak, and maritime mineral saltiness.
Age statement: 10 years the first Loch Gorm to bear a true age statement.
Maturation: Full maturation in Oloroso sherry butts sourced from Bodega Jos y Miguel Martn.
Peat level: 50 ppm soft yet distinctive peat smoke
Bottling specs: 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, natural colour; limited release of 18,000 bottles.
Bottle Size: 750ml
Best enjoyed neat in a tulip or Glencairn glass at 1517C. A splash of water can open up the spicy sherry and smoke. Pairs fantastically with smoked meats, dark chocolate desserts, blue cheese, or as a contemplative afterdinner dram.
