Another master of complexity from Van Diemen’s land. Its deep blood orange hue tells you this is no average single malt but only hints at things to come. Aged in French Oak Sherry quarter cask, Overeem Sherry Cask Matured is rich, flavourful and complex. To the nose, it brings chocolate ice-cream, dried fruits, menthol and cinnamon. On the palate, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, hay, grass, roasted nuts and stewed stone fruits all come to life in their time, and the finish is long and smooth, leaving charred nuts, and sherry infused fruits behind.
