Teeling 15 Year Old PX Sherry Single Cask California Edition 750mL
Irish Single Malt Whiskey | Cask Strength | 750mL | California Exclusive
This rare Teeling release showcases the distillerys passion for unique finishes and bold flavors. Distilled as single malt, the whiskey was first matured in a traditional sherry butt for nine years, then transferred into a first-fill Pedro Ximnez sherry cask for nearly seven more years. The result is a 15-year-old whiskey bottled at cask strength and released exclusively for California, with only a few hundred bottles produced.
Nose: Rich plum, bramble fruit, raisins, and milk chocolate layered with syrup and vanilla pod
Palate: Stewed dark fruits, raspberry, blackcurrant, and toffee with bursts of spice and depth from the PX influence
Finish: Long and coating with lingering sweetness, fruit, and subtle spice
California-exclusive single cask release
Matured 15 years with dual aging in sherry and Pedro Ximnez casks
Cask strength bottling for natural intensity
Extremely limited, with fewer than 300 bottles available
Highlights Teelings innovation and artistry in sherry finishes
Best savored neat in a Glencairn or tulip glass to unlock its rich layers. Allow to breathe for several minutes to soften the high proof. A few drops of water may open even more complexity, revealing hidden chocolate and dried fruit notes.
How many bottles were released?
Only about 270 bottles were produced for California.
What proof is it bottled at?
As a cask strength release, the ABV varies but is typically around 56%.
What makes the PX finish unique?
Pedro Ximnez casks add sweetness, depth, and rich dried fruit notes.
Is this chill-filtered or colored?
Like most Teeling single casks, it is nonchill filtered and natural color.
How should it be enjoyed?
Neat or with a splash of water to reveal its layers; also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts.
