This 100th anniversary limited edition from Hakushu has been aged for 12 years before it’s release in 2023 to celebrate 100 years of The House of Suntory.

Inside you’ll find the same whisky we know and love, a gently peated single malt with a distinctive herbaceousness, but the bottle has been adorned with a special label for the occasion. The illustration on the bottle captures the Hakushu distillery in green, representing the forest that surrounds it.

Nose:Toasted barley, seed & nut loaf, chopped almonds and a little bit of barrel char. Hints of milk chocolate and dried grass bring sweetness.

Palate:Much more fruit on the palate, but it’s by no means a sweet whisky. Still rich, herbaceous and grassy, with a waft of smoke along the way.

Finish:Quite short, though enjoyable with orange peel and a touch of minerals.
